THIRD YEAR PROJECT

Using my 94 year old Nana as my creative muse. Looking at the absence of the older generation, especially in fashion campaigns and beauty advertisements.

Differences between generations such as technology, style and attitude are presented with a celebration to life with expression at any age.

This project includes a visual love letter with imagery and a lighthearted film with character, memory and emotional responses to getting older.

SECOND YEAR PROJECT

Fashion Communication X Fashion Design

Using the garment’s designs, research and inspiration to communicate their projects in a fashion space.

COVID-19 didn’t allow us to create our exhibition but we adjusted to the digital times with a creative online website, lookbook, fashion films & more.

The story of dreams turning into nightmares.

Photographer, Stylist, Art Director. 2019.

FIRST YEAR PROJECT

The zine we created is inspired by the new generation of today. Celebrating colour, texture and outlandish design in fashion photography and styling.

Our inspiration was the connotations of popular supermarkets and this is reflected in the garments we made from sustainable resources.

Independent zine. 2018.

FIRST YEAR PROJECT

Mirror is a zine I created containing a variety of collage, illustration, imaging and typography.

This project's brief was 'Body in the Media' and I researched BDD (Body Dysmorphia Disorder) for both men and women.

Looking at how people think of themselves in the mirror and their view of facial and body distortion in a visual and informative manner.

Independent zine. 2018.

FIRST YEAR PROJECT

My brief was to research into the fashion artefact belts.

I researched the traditions of belts and the technique of cinching your waist from 1920s to present day, finding trends and historical references.

I went into depth about the utility of the belt and the pressure of having it so tight to give the illusion of a smaller waist.

My imagery focused on mark making belts make and used this to experiment in prints.

The Beautifully Grotesque. 2017.

A level Photography project. I wanted to focus on still life to broaden my knowledge of the everyday object and setting this up with studio lighting to create good positioning.

Using just objects allowed me to depend on my story telling through narrative of colours, texture and object's connotations.
